There have been studies where it shows subscribers have a higher engagement if they’ve been sent a welcome series from the beginning. This means in the future, this engagement is going to create more opens, more clicks and as a result more sales. One more trick before we move on, in your first email of the welcome series in the subject line, put something like “Welcome to the family” (please read) in brackets. Try that out and see how it works for you. The emails that follow on from that are going to introduce your customers to you as a business. They’re going to describe, what makes you different, special, more favourable than the competition. Because they aren’t just going to be on your list. You’re going to have other people in their inbox fighting for attention You also want to tell them how often they’re going to be hearing from you – daily, weekly or monthly? We’re going to be training these people to expect your campaigns on a consistent basis. Then move on to what you typically include in your campaigns and how often you run promotions, newsletters and so on.
